The annual Manila Christmas Parade, "The Colors of Christmas," was held Saturday, Dec. 3, with the streets lined with spectators of all ages.

The parade line-up included members of the Manila Police Department and fire department, Emerson Ambulance Service, Mississippi County Sheriff's Department and the Burdette Fire Department.

Big trucks from White Gold Trucking, along with representatives from CMA Wings of Service, participated in this year's parade.

The grand marshal for the parade included the Manila junior and senior high cheerleaders who offered cheers and a Merry Christmas to all.

Osceola ROTC presented the colors. Two marching bands, Manila High School and Cooter School, offered Christmas songs.

Other participants included Manila and Buffalo Island Head Start, KLCN Radio van, Manila Girl Scouts, Caraway Girl Scouts, Bertha Ray's Santa Workshop, Harvest Fellowship Church float, Clifton Palmer Race Truck, Robert Palmer Truck, Little Magical Minds Alvin Float, Crew First Baptist Church float, Leachville Girl Scouts float, Bonnie Ray float, Manila FFA float, Nucor float, Adams Estate float, Boy Scouts float, and Southern Bancorp Santa float.

In addition to the floats there were antique cares, dirt bikes, four-wheelers, trucks, and more walkers.

All floats meeting the requirements received $50.
