Caraway Lions Club has started collecting food for Christmas boxes at Dollar General Store for area senior citizens.
They are also collecting toys for children from one to six years old. Anyone with toys that are clean and in good working condition may donate them to the Lions Club and the toys will be given to children who need them.
"Please do not give us anything you would not want your children to receive," Lion Bernard Berry said. "We also have a kettle pot at the store for anyone who would rather donate money. We know times are hard this year but please help as much as you can. It will be appreciated and will help the elderly and children have a better Christmas."
