The sound of sleigh bells is still about a month away, but for children in Lake City, the chance to meet Santa Claus is right around the corner! "Join us at the McAdams Library in Lake City on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 2-4 p.m. for the holiday open house," said McAdams Librarian Donna Vickers. In addition to providing a great opportunity for residents to come in on a Saturday and see all of the services the library has to offer, there will also be light refreshments.
In addition to meeting Santa, children can also have their picture taken with the jolly fellow. Ms. Vickers said there is no need to sign up for pictures ahead of time, but a price sheet will be available at the library before the event.
Door prizes will be given during the two hour event. Adults and children can also stop by the library during the month of December and register to win other prizes.
During this event the computers will not be available; however, patrons will be able to check materials from the library. This is the second annual holiday open house for the McAdams Library.
