Linnie Rice

Mrs. Linnie Rice, 97, of Manila, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Frances Russell Mifflin and was a lifelong area resident.

She worked many years at the Manila Nursing Center and the Shaneyfelt Medical Clinic. She was a longtime member of the Soul's Harbor Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Mifflin; and a sister, Inez Scarbrough.

She leaves her loving husband of 78 years, Mr. Murel Rice of the home; and

Three nephews and nine nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. David Fair officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
