The unbeaten and defending Class 1A State Champion Yellowjackets placed four players in double figures, led by senior point guard Gunner Freeman's game high 20 points. Dylan Loven poured in 14 while Tyson Oliver and Damien Holt added 13 and 10 points respectively. Bay connected on 15-18 foul shots and drained five treys on then night.

Bay jumped to a 25-8 lead after the opening period and held a 44-28 advantage at the half. Bay took a 60-42 lead entering the final period of play.

Daniel Davis led BIC with a team high 17 points while James Tate also delivered double figures, scoring 14 more. Josh McCormick, Dilynn Strickland and Nick Bollinger had five points apiece, Brandon Lairsey netted four points while Logan Dewitt contributed three points. Alex Ballin scored two while Jeremy Smith added one point to round out the Mustang offensive output.

BIC struggled from the foul line, hitting just six of 16 free throw attempts while nailing two treys on the evening.

In junior high action, the Yellowjackets outscored BIC 16-4 in the final frame to rally for a 40-37 victory over the Mustangs. T.J. Pritchett led Bay with 13 points. The 'Jackets were a perfect nine for nine from the foul line and hit one three pointer.

Bay trailed 12-4 after the first quarter and 19-12 at the half. BIC took a 33-24 lead into the final period before Bay stormed back for the win.

Austin Pike led BIC with 11 points while Erik Navarro added nine more. Jerry Cazares netted seven, Alan Carmichael tallied six while Tyler Myers added four for BIC, who hit five of nine foul shots. The loss dropped the Mustangs to 3-3 on the season.

BIC will return to action Tuesday night when they host Manila before taking on Crowley's Ridge Academy at home Friday night.
