Oct. 28

Food items, valued at $800, and trash cans, valued at $75, were stolen from Poppy's Diner on West Main. No suspects are known.

Markese Durden, 26, and Lasharriah Crosby, 22, of 1719 Chickasawba, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Both were found by police at a home where police had responded to a call about a disturbance.

Oct. 29

John Bradford, Jr., 39, of 2109 Edwards, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, fleeing on foot, refusal to submit to arrest and six failure to appear warrants. Bradford fled on foot when he was spotted by officers walking in the area of South Circle Drive. He was treated at GRMC for a broken ankle, which he apparently suffered while attempting to jump a fence.

Tony Daniels Jr., 34, of 2237 Kenwood, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Daniels was allegedly found in front of a home on Webster Street creating a scene and attempting to enter the residence.

An unidentified black male broke into a home on Antonio Street, pushing past the resident and knocking her to the floor inside the doorway, demanding money. He fled without taking anything.

A desktop scanner, valued at $75, was stolen from a residence on East Davis. Unknown offenders made entry into the home by cutting a screen and opening an unlocked window.

A flat-screen television, valued at $1,500, was stolen from a home on Dougan Street. No suspects are known.

An unidentified white female attempted to pass a fraudulent check in the amount of $648.30 at Fasco on South Division.

A purse and its contents, valued at $400, were stolen from a parked vehicle at Elmwood Cemetery. The offender was seen by the victim, and was described as a black male between the ages of 15 and 25.

Oct. 30

Carol Baker, 40, of Memphis, was arrested and charged with DWI first and refusal to submit to chemical testing. Baker was seen allegedly driving without her seat belt, and was found to be intoxicated once officers initiated a traffic stop.

A resident on East Cherry was tackled from behind as he got out of his vehicle, and his wallet stolen by an unidentified male. The offender, who then fled on foot, was never seen by the victim.

Various jewelry and several handguns, valued at $7,808, were stolen from a residence on East McHaney. No suspects are known, but fingerprints were located on the scene.
