Buffalo Island Central's Lady Mustangs closed out the Joe V. Jones Classic Saturday night with an impressive 69-32 rout of Hughes. Brittany Fowler poured in a team high 17 points. Cassidy Qualls and Katelyn Sparkman also had double figures, scoring 10 points apiece as BIC put 11 players in the scoring column.

The Lady Mustangs pounded Abundant Life 62-29 Thursday night. BIC held a whopping 44-9 lead at the half.

The BIC boys opened the Classic with a 56-50 victory Thursday night over Black Rock. James Tate produced a double-double, scoring 23 points while pulling down 13 boards. BIC evened its record at 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs led 18-17 after the first quarter and 32-23 at the half. The Zebras rallied to take a 42-41 edge into the final frame.

BIC improved to 2-1 with a 43-41 victory Friday night over Abundant Life. Trailing by 32-24 entering the final period, the Mustangs rallied, outscoring Abundant Life 19-9 to pull out the win. Tate and Brandon Lairsey led BIC with 10 points apiece.
