On Oct. 15, at approximately noon, Deputy Robert Perkins and Sgt. Chris Ditto were dispatched to 609 S. Highway 181, Apt. 10, in Keiser, in reference to a domestic disturbance. While deputies were en route, they received a call from the Sheriff's Department dispatch in reference to an unknown person calling and advising that there was a meth lab in the residence.
Deputies arrived and made contact with Clayton Reeves and Mary Marino. While talking with them about this incident, deputies noticed several plastic corner baggies in the bedroom and noticed a plastic green bottle outside of the residence that contained a white powdery residue.
Deputies contacted Lt. Robb Rounsavall with the DTF, and he responded to the residence. Officers learned that Reeves was currently on active felony probation for drug charges. They then conducted a probation search of the home and found empty lithium battery packages, lithium strips, coleman fuel inside a Dr Pepper bottle, pseudoephedrine pills, coffee filters and documents with the name Clayton Reeves. Officers also found a small amount of methamphetamine.
Reeves and Marino were transported to the Mississippi County Jail. The suspected meth was field tested positive, and Reeves and Marino were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine. Reeves was set a $50,000 bond by Judge Gibson, and Marino's bond was set at $35,000.
