Gladys Whitehead

Gladys Whitehead, 61, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Lovie and Gladys Inez Griffin Cooper and had been a lifelong Manila resident. Gladys was a longtime member of the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Leachville.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Whitehead of Manila; two daughters, Kimberly Whitehead and

Amanda Meacham, both of Manila; a sister, Rosemary Hamilton of Manila. She also leaves eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial will be in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday from 1 p.m. until service time.
