Dorothy Austin
Dorothy Austin, 82, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
| Born in Ripley, Tenn., to the late William Robert and Virginia Ross, she was the widow of the Rev. Jim P. Austin, her husband of 47 years. |
| She enjoyed quilting, British comedies on AETN and her family. Mrs. Austin retired from C&J Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. |
| In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Joe Austin; a granddaughter, Tracy Lewis; three sisters and two brothers. |
She leaves two sons, Roy Austin of Blytheville and Stephen Austin and his wife, Shawna, of Little Rock;
Two daughters, Linda Overman and her husband, Lewis, of Waynesville, N.C., and Vickie Forrest and her husband, Tim, of Pine Bluff;
Two brothers, Robert Ross of Idabell, Okla., and Pete Ross of Osceola;
Four grandsons, Keith Austin, Matt Forrest, James Overman and David Overman;
Three granddaughters, Kimberly Bryson, Lori Hayden and Gina "Dot" Burns; and
Seventeen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home.
