The Blytheville Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred at the Dodge Store on South Division during the early morning hours Sunday.

The Blytheville Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred at the Dodge Store on South Division during the early morning hours Sunday. At least five people were shot, although there were no fatalities.

At approximately 5 a.m., Officer Earnest Frye of the BPD was at Mark's Exxon, when he heard gunshots coming from the Dodge Store parking lot. As he ran toward the lot, he observed a large crowd fleeing the area, some of whom were individuals who had been shot.

After other officers responded and order was restored, it was discovered that the five people shot were Markes Love, 28, Fred Hill, 23, Romeo Hall, 21, Michael Greene, 29, and Channing Flowers, 28. Flowers and Love were transported to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis for their injuries, and Hall, Hill and Greene were treated and released from Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

The BPD is asking for assistance and statements from witnesses who were on scene during the incident. In addition to those who were shot, several other people could have been injured, according to Capt. Scott Adams of the BPD Criminal Investigations Division.
