County law enforcement officials gathered Wednesday morning at the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department to witness the disposal by burning of more than $200,000 worth of street drugs, which had been confiscated within the county over the last two years and were involved in cases that are now closed.

The drugs came from a combined total of more than 200 cases opened by law enforcement in the county.

Also present were Special Agent in Charge of the Second Judicial Drug Task Force Lt. Robb Rounsavall, and other deputies from the Sheriff's Department.
