Leland Brown

Mr. Leland Brown, 63, of Chicago, formerly of Osceola, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago.

Born in Osceola to the late Amos Brown and Evelyn Tyler Brown, he was a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Brown.

He leaves five sisters, Thelma Rayborn of Freeport, Ill., Florine Porter of Benton Harbor, Mich., Lavern Warren (and Jesse) of Osceola, Joyce Moultrie of Los Angeles, and Joan House (and Raymond) of Little Rock; and

Six brothers, Charles Brown of Chicago, David Brown (and Christine) of Memphis, Jim Brown (and Sharon) of Los Angeles, Theo Brown, Johnny Brown (and Kimberly) and Elroy Brown (and Glodine) all of Blytheville.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at 1st Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Odale Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery.
