Police officials in Southaven, Miss., have located a 70-year-old woman who was last seen Friday in Caruthersville.
Phyllis Birge, who was recently diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer's, was found Sunday safe and driving around Olive Branch, Miss.
The search for the woman was based out of Mississippi, where authorities said that she was on her way from Southhaven to Fairbury, Ill., for a funeral.
The woman, who forgot her cell phone at home had stopped at Sullivan's Auto in Caruthersville to make a phone call to her daughter. She left a voicemail stating that it was raining and would probably be getting to her destination and little late. When she did not arrive, her family called the authorities who spent the weekend searching for her.
