The Blytheville Century 21 McWaters Casons closed out their home schedule Tuesday night with a 17-10 loss to Searcy at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.
The Casons were outhit by Searcy, 22-7 and trailed 10-2 in the bottom of the fourth before scoring eight runs over the next three innings and cutting the lead to just two at 12-10 heading into the seventh inning.
Ke'Andre Diamond's (2-3 with three runs scored) solo shot over the center field fence off of Searcy starting pitcher Josh Spears sparked a three-run fifth inning for the Casons that cut the Searcy lead to 12-7.
Blytheville scored three more in the bottom of the sixth, highlighted by Ryan Nolen's clean steal of home, to come within two runs at 12-10.
Searcy sealed the deal with a five run seventh off of Nolen who came on in relief of Joe Johnson in the sixth inning.
The game was the last home game for Casons Johnson, Justin Elder, Jacob Ritchey and Justin Roberts.
Ritchey (2-4), Diamond (2-3), Elder, Johnson and Nolen led the offense for the Casons.
Jared Sides (3-5), Josh Spears, Ross Harrison (3-5), Zach Feagin (4-5), Mason Wyatt (4-5), Brent Bunker (2-4), Nick Adcock and Je Frimel powered the Searcy offense.
The Casons begin zone tournament play on Friday in West Memphis.
