Rodriguez, Wilkerson plan wedding

Maria Rodriguez of Blytheville and Patrick Wilkerson of Gosnell are planning a July 9, 2011, wedding in Gosnell.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Teresa Alvarado of Blytheville and Ramon A. Rodriguez of Marmaduke. She is the granddaughter of Josefina and Santos Alvarado of Blytheville and Ana and Jorge Ortega of Philadelphia.

A 2009 graduate of Blytheville High School, she attended Arkansas Northeastern College and is currently working as a certified nursing assistant at Heritage Square Nursing Home.

The prospective groom is the son of Michelle and Jeffery Walker of Blytheville and the late Herold D. Wilkerson of Memphis. He is the grandson of Dr. William and Pattye Oakley of Trimble, Tenn. Dr. Oakley is the former pastor at Gosnell Baptist Church.

A 2007 graduate of Gosnell High School, he attended Arkansas Tech University, and recently attended Dyersburg State Community College, majoring in criminal justice. He will return this fall to Arkansas Northeastern College to complete his major.

The wedding will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell.
