The regular season champions Systems Contracting Firecrackers will face the Temps Plus Mustangs in the championship game this week after the two teams advanced through to the final round Monday night.

SPORTSPLEX -- Youth softball continued Monday night at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex with the 12-U league tournament continuing in its final stages.

The regular season champions Systems Contracting Firecrackers will face the Temps Plus Mustangs in the championship game this week after the two teams advanced through to the final round Monday night.

Here's a wrap up of the action.

GAME ONE

Systems Contracting 12, Thomas, Speight and Noble Drama Queens 4

The Firecrackers jumped on top of the Drama Queens with 10 runs over the first two innings on their way to a 12-4 win Monday night and advanced to the championship round of the 12-U tournament.

Brooke Trout picked up the win for the Firecrackers, allowing just one run over five innings pitched.

Trout (single and a triple), Rylee Nelson (home run and a triple), Macie Cook (double), Kayla Brooks (triple and a double) and Kinsey Norvell (single) led the offense for the Firecrackers.

Emma Hobbs (home run and a single), Emily Fells (single), Cierra Watson (single) and Lasi McGhee (triple) provided the offense for the Drama Queens.

GAME TWO

Temps Plus Mustangs 11, Drama Queens 5

The Mustangs jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on to beat the Drama Queens, 11-5, Monday night.

Katie Weld picked up the win for the Mustangs.

Jackie Brees and Dani Roach both singled for the Mustangs and Whitney Morehead singled and doubled in the win.

Emily Fells (single), Emma Hobbs (two singles), Anna Halsell (single and a double), Cierra Watson (home run), Lasi McGhee (single) and Carmen Harrigan (single) led the offense for the Drama Queens.
