Edna Woodard Benton

Ms. Edna Woodard Benton, 58, of Marked Tree, died of heart failure at Three Rivers Nursing Home in Marked Tree. Born July 19, 1952, in Calhoun City, she was a nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Woodard and Lovie Welch; her sisters, Ruby Willis and Embre Robinson; and her brothers Tommy Woodard and Willie C. Woodard.

Ms. Benton leaves one sister, Rose Woodard Wright of Osceola.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. M.L. Smith, will take place at the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola on at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
