It's tournament time again at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex. The Thunder Bayou Blowout begins Friday night at the Sportsplex.

It's tournament time again at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

The Thunder Bayou Blowout begins Friday night at the Sportsplex. 29 teams from Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri will compete in four age divisions; 8 and under, 9 and 10-year-old, 11 and 12-year-old and 13-15 year-olds.

Action begins at 6 p.m. on Friday. There is a $5 entry fee per person per day. Children ages 10 and under are $2. Tournament officials ask that no coolers or food be brought into the complex. Concession stands will be available throughout the entire tournament.

The tournament will be played under Cal Ripken League tournament rules.

There will be three Blytheville teams playing Friday night. At 6 p.m. the Blytheville 7-year-old team will take on Piggott on field 4, the Blytheville 10-year-old team will take on the Manila Thunder on field 3 and the Blytheville 12-year-old team will take on South Dunklin County on field 2. At 8 p.m., the Blytheville 11-year-old team will take on Piggott on field 2.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Blytheville 15-year-olds begin tournament action against the Jonesboro Rage on field 8 followed by the Blytheville 13-year-olds taking on the Colts at 11:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., the Blytheville 8-year-old team takes on the Sikeston Storm on field 4 while the Blytheville 11-year-olds take on the Caruthersville Cardinals on field 1.
