Shields mark 50th anniversary

Nathan and Linda Shields were united in marriage on May 27, 1961, in Blytheville.

Linda (Sharp) Shields graduated from Blytheville High School on May 26, 1961. Nathan worked at the Red Ball Barber Shop from 1960-61. After they married, they moved to Eugene, Ore., in 1962.

While Linda is a homemaker, Nathan has owned and worked at Mans World Barber Shop in Eugene since 1970. They are both members of First Baptist Church of Eugene.

They will celebrate at the Excelsior Inn with family and friends, hosted by their children, Kevin Shields and Karyn Harden.

They have four grandchildren, Alexander Harden, Kaylie Harden, Juliette Shields and Nathan Shields.

They will also celebrate with a surprise cruise to Alaska from their children.
