Lake City Council voted unanimously in favor of a purchase of a 1979 Ford pumper fire truck for $5,000 from the Manila Fire Department and a 1989 GMC flat bed truck from Williams Auto Sales for $1,800 which could be converted to a tanker with the parts from the existing 1968 model it now has.

Fire Chief Chris Snyder made the request saying the tanker the fire department now has is in bad repair and with these changes it would make it a good truck. Also, having both trucks at the Dixie Fire Station could lower the ISO rating.

Council members present for the meeting were Harold Barker, Tommy Eakins, Ann Davis, Jeffery Wisham, Danny Dunigan and Brenda Hutcheson.

Mayor Jon Milligan presided at the meeting and presented the monthly finance report for review.

City Clerk Linda Simpson read the second reading of Ordinance No 2522-11, an ordinance authorized for rules and regulations for use of the Lake City Memorial Cemetery. A motion was made by Alderman Dunigan and seconded by Alderman Davis to accept the second reading of the ordinance. All council members voted to accept the second reading.

Mayor Milligan presented a map State Representative Homer Lenderman had brought by the office. The proposed map was reviewed by the council.
