Annie Mae Smith

Mrs. Annie Mae Smith, 95, of Osceola, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro.

Born in Nelton, Miss., to the late Eddie Williams and Agnus Bell Williams, she was retired from American Greetings in Osceola.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; seven sisters, Pearle Mae, Christine, Bessie, Lillie Bell, Maggie, Azzie Lee and Agnes; and four brothers, Willie, Eddie Jr., Henry B. and Robert Lee.

She leaves one daughter, Yvonne (and L.C. Jr.) Coles of San Angelo, Texas;

Two sisters, Lula White of Osceola and Flora Davis of Chicago;

Three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and

A furry companion, Maxey.

The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at the church with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
