The Armorel Tigers advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth consecutive year Tuesday afternoon with a 13-1, 5-inning win over Scranton in the Class 1A state tournament, being played at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

The Armorel Tigers advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth consecutive year Tuesday afternoon with a 13-1, 5-inning win over Scranton in the Class 1A state tournament, being played at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

Zach Skelton got the win for the Tigers, striking out 13 batters and allowing only 1 hit.

Ryan Sullivan led the Armorel offense, going 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs. Ty Wagganer added 2 RBIs on 3-for-4 batting.

The Tigers will take on the Midland-Hillcrest winner in Wednesday's semifinal round. The game is scheduled for noon at the Sportsplex.
