Peggy Brown
Mrs. Peggy Brown, 78, of Gosnell, passed from this life Sunday May 8, 2011, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born to Elmer and Armoree Holloway in Mississippi, she was a longtime area resident and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell. Mrs. Brown was a retired custodian for Gosnell Public Schools and a lady who worked hard all her life and passed that example on to her children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, "Grams" as she was called, and great-grandmother who just loved life and being with her family.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Edward Brown; a sister, Betty Jean Fleming; and a son-in-law, O'Gene Poff.
She leaves her children, Durant and Peggy Brown and Jim and Bea Brown of Calamine; Bill and Sandy Brown of Gosnell; Dollie Brooks of Drummonds, Tennessee; Eva Gonzales of Gosnell, Arkansas; Donna and Jim Pereszlay of Toledo, Ohio; Phillip and Mary Brown of Kennett, Mo.; Bruce Brown of Branson, Mo., and Sandy Poff of Gosnell; |
Her grandchildren, Jim Ed Brown, Tommy Brown, Jason Brown, Lynn Green, Felicia Turrell, Justin Brown, Sandy Kay Ross, Linda McDaniel, Jennifer Gonzales, Joey Gonzales, Penny Brown, Nikki Brown, Hunter Pereszlay, Phillip Brown, Kyle Brown, Jacob Poff, Haley Poff and Jessica Chandler; and
Twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell King Jr. officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Home.
