Billy Ray Files

Mr. Billy Ray Files, 77, of Monette, former longtime Marked Tree area resident, died Sunday May 8, 2011, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born June 6, 1933, in Clinton, he was the son of the late Otto and Martha Bench Files, had been a Monette resident since 1985, and was retired from Akins Farms in Monette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Riley Files; and his brother, J.D. Files Sr.

He leaves his son, Randy Files, and his wife, Betty, of Monette; and

Six grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at noon Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Pat Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Cemetery in Lepanto.
