Recent reports from the Mississippi County unit of the Drug Task Force:

An Osceola man was arrested last week and charged with possession of a controlled substance wit intent to deliver, according to a report from the Mississippi County unit of the Drug Task Force.

Dexter Artis, 20, of 415 E. Bowen St., Osecola, was arrested after an officer responded to Pugh Street in Osceola for a disturbance.

As Patrolman Kyle Carr was speaking to Artis, he noticed a bulge in Artis' pants pocket. Carr asked Artis to empty his pockets and Artis complied. But the bulge could still be seen in the pocket. Because Artis is on probation, Carr searched Artis and found a bag containing 11 other baggies of suspected marijuana. The substance tested positive for marijuana. The total weight of the drug was 14.3 grams.

Artis, who has a previous criminal history, was taken before District Judge Mike Gibson, who set his bond at $25,.000.
