Paul McAnally, senior vice president and director of the North Regional Advisory Board for Southern Bancorp, is the recipient of Arkansas State University's College of Agriculture and Technology's Outstanding Young Alumni Award for 2011.

His current professional and community involvement includes chairman of Southern Bancorp's Presidents Council, member of the Arkansas Bankers Association's Agriculture Committee, member of the Arkansas State Chamber's Leadership Arkansas Class V, board member of the Trumann Chamber of Commerce, secretary of the Poinsett County Farm Family of the Year Committee, team member of Walnut Street Baptist Church's finance team and member of the Trumann Rotary Club.

McAnally earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with emphasis in Marketing and Management from Arkansas State University. Paul then attained a banking degree from Barrett School of Banking in Memphis, Tenn., in 2005.

Paul has over 10 years of banking experience with Bank of Trumann and Southern Bancorp.

Paul and his wife Dixie have been married 10 years. They have two children, Harrison, 5, and Henleigh, 2, and live in Lake City.

McAnally was among the honorees at the Honors Banquet on April 14 held in the Centennial Hall of the Student Union on the Jonesboro campus. The college celebrates outstanding students, alumni, shcolarship recipients, and benefactors of the college at the Honors Banquet.
