Recent reports from the Blytheville Police Department:

Paul Sims of 1013 W. McHaney is being charged with DWI, driving on suspended drivers license (fifth offense), driving left of center, no seat belt, reckless driving, obstructing government operations, failure to yield, fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot, and leaving the scene of an accident. Sims allegedly ran his vehicle into a power pole at the corner of Lilly and McHaney, and was apprehended after trying to run from officers.

A South Lake Street resident reported the theft of his vehicle tags.

Alvin Richard Davis of 1800 Stuart in Blytheville, was taken into custody and charged with loitering and public intoxication after being found lingering at the corner of Ash and Division.

Bernard McDougal Sr. of 1315 W. Ash was arrested for public intoxication. McDougal was taken into custody after being found creating a disturbance at a residence on South Franklin.

The residence in the 1600 block of Hearn was robbed through an unlocked window. Items stolen were a 32-inch flat-screen TV, a purse, and a jar containing $30 worth of change. Total value of the items stolen was around $388.

A witness living at 1000 Howard in Blytheville came home to find a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a laptop, a money bag, a camera, and a bag full of chips and candy lying in the backyard of the residence. Blood was taken as evidence from the frame of a broken window which police assume was used for entry into the home.

A detective was called to the Southern Bancorp on South Second with reports of possible forgery by Lloyd Williams, who was attempting to withdraw money from an account that bank employees did not believe was his.

A Jonesboro resident filed reports of fraud with Blytheville police after an online check of her credit score revealed that there were delinquent accounts with Cingular/AT&T wireless under her name, adding up to more than $3,000. The accounts could not have been opened by her, according to the victim, as she was in custody of the state at the time that the money was charged.

Reports were taken at the Entergy building on South Elm after a window was broken. Police found no evidence of entry into the building, and no theft was reported.
