The Osceola Police Department is searching for a local man who apparently stabbed another man during a fight Saturday night.
At approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the area of North Poplar and Quinn in reference to a stabbing, according to Police Chief Ray Rigsby.
Sgt. Curt Chandler was the first on the scene, where he found a large crowd at 504 N. Poplar, which is the residence of Mary Lomax.
Clifton Ware, 36, of Osceola, was found to have been stabbed in the abdomen.
When questioned about the suspect, witnesses gave the police a nickname.
Ware was airlifted to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis where he is in stable condition.
The investigation has revealed a person of interest. Officers, according to Rigsby, are still looking for the suspect.
