Dorothy Jean Herron

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Herron, 76, of Cooter, died Monday, April 11, 2011, at River Oaks Care Center in Steele. Born Nov. 16, 1934, in Tupelo, Miss., she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. Davis and Correan Blaylock Davis; her husband, John Lee Herron; one daughter, Katherine Ann Herron; one son, Bobby Gene Herron;, five sisters; and four brothers.

Mrs. Herron leaves three daughters, Mary Capertino of Holland, Samaria Birmingham of Hayti, and Melanie Winstead of Cooter;

Two sons, Johnny Ray Herron of Dell and William Lee Herron of Paragould;

Two sisters, Charlotte Marie House of Roscoe and Estelle Jackson of Roscoe;

One brother, Ellis Ray Davis of Valliego; and

Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Charles Advants, will be held at the funeral home on at 2 p.m. Thursday.
