Bruce Edward Riley
Mr. Bruce Edward Riley, 48, of Denver, Colo., died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in Denver.
He was born in Blytheville, the son of John W. and Olivia Kimbrough Riley.
He was a 1981 graduate of Blytheville High School and attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville. Later, he enlisted in the Army and served six years.
Mr. Riley was married to Valinda Smothers and to this union one son was born.
They moved to Denver and he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service.
He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Riley; and his sister, Mrs. Regina Riley Thomas.
He leaves his mother, Mrs. Olivia Riley of Blytheville;
Three children, L.T. Mario (and Stephanie) Riley of Rineyville, Ky., Valontae Riley of Denver and Tiffany Harris of Blytheville;
Two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Houston of Jonesboro and Mrs. Clara Demetrius (and Dave) Ryan of Denver;
Three brothers, Mike Riley of Lakewood, Colo., John Wesley Riley Jr. of Aurora, Colo., and David (and Angela) Riley of Denver;
A special family friend, Michael Wright of Denver;
A special cousin, Mrs. Barbara (and Stanley) Dean of Blytheville;
Five grandchildren; and
Nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1630 West Street. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at the church with the Rev. Anthony Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
