Cheryl Renee Penix

Cheryl Renee Penix, 31, of Leachville, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Osceola she had lived much of her life in Manila and had been a Leachville resident for the past two years. Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Marty Eddings.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Penix of Leachville; two sons, Alexander Estell and Christian Estell, both of the home; three stepsons, Christian Chase Penix of the home, Jessie Penix of Bono, Joey Penix of Bono; two stepdaughters, Casie Lynn Penix of the home and Catelynn Penix of Bono; her mother and stepfather, Lavonda and James Newton of Manila; her father, Cletis Eddings of Manila; a sister, Karen Henry of Manila. She also leaves two nephews and a niece.

Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Penix, Chad Penix, Woody Jackson, Chris Mitchell, Joe McQueen, and John Crafton.
