Octavia "Marie" Fortner

Octavia "Marie" Fortner, 76, of Burdette, died on March 12, 2011, at Great River Medical Center. Ms. Fortner was born Sept. 4, 1934, in Hot Springs. She was a long time resident of Burdette and was retired from the Mississippi County Tax Assessors office.

Survivors include a son Dale Fortner and wife Traci of Manila; five grandchildren, Jade Lafferty of Fletcher, Okla., April Pay of Blytheville, David Owens, Christopher Owens and Laci Owens, all of Jonesboro; seven great- grandchildren and a host of other family and many wonderful friends.
