MARION --The Gosnell Pirates lost a second round game in the Marion Tournament on Saturday to Piggott, 10-2.
The Mohawk pitchers held the Pirates to four hits and two runs. Piggott scored a run in the first, two in the third, three in the fifth and four in the sixth to seal the deal.
The Pirates plated a run in the each of the fourth and fifth innings.
Taylor Jolly (2-3), Bryce Smith (1-3) and Jake Westmoreland (1-3) led the offense for the Pirates.

Harding Academy 4
The Gosnell Pirates came back from four runs down to defeat Harding Academy in the first round of the tournament Friday afternoon, 5-4.
Austin Davis picked up the win scattering four hits and allowing three earned runs while striking out six over 6 2/3 innings for the Pirates. Harding scored two in each of the first two innings to take a 4-0 lead before the Pirates climbed back with three in the third and a run a piece in each of the fourth and fifth innings.
Ricky Gable (2-3), Blake Sullivan (1-2, double) and Matt Smith (1-1) led the offense for the Pirates. Gosnell is now 2-2 on the year and heads to Brookland on Tuesday to open the 4A-3 season with a doubleheader.
