Bruce Hart

Mr. Bruce Hart, 70, of Blytheville, formerly of Simi Valley, Calif., passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Gosnell to Harvey Leon and Katie Lavinia Crawford Hart, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville where he served on the Church Greeting Committee, Baptismal Committee and the Upward Basketball program. He worked in sales until he retired and moved back to his hometown with his wife Kathleen six years ago. After his retirement he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his longtime friend, Don Wright. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.

He leaves his wife of 25 years, Kathleen Fechner Hart of Blytheville;

Two sons, Dr. John and Myra Hart of Chicago and Darren and Cynthia Hart of Cape Gables, Fla.;

A sister, Maureen Hart Wilson and her husband, Denny, of Blytheville; and

Three grandchildren, Audrey, Ashley and Michael Hart.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Bowers officiating. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
