Earl Elvonder Galloway
Mr. Earl Elvonder Galloway, 85, of Benton, Mo., formerly of Leachville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at his home. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Rufus and Ida Buford Galloway and had lived in Benton for the past 20 years. He was a retired farmer and outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Galloway.
He leaves one son, James Galloway of Owensboro, Ky.;
Three daughters, Evelyn Cummings of Sanford, Fla., Nona Irvine of Savannah, Ill., and Cathie Cruz of Benton, Mo.;
One sister, Lucille Gilbert of California; and
Seventeen grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Gary Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in Box Elder Cemetery.
