"Legend of the Jackal" is set "once in a time, not so long ago" in Blackstone, Mass., when nearly every child disappeared from the town. Among those children was Jack Devlin, the younger brother of Alder Devlin. Nearly 20 years later, Alder Devlin, now an investigator who specializes in missing children, continues his search for his younger sibling and the thousands of children who have vanished around the world.
Alder's investigation leads him across the sea to London, England. There, he partners with a local detective, Bryce Hollem. The two men have searched for the same culprit for years with no clues and have been left perpetually in the dark. When the two men finally catch a break, the truth begins to reveal itself. Soon they will find that shedding light upon a mystery, does not make it any less horrifying
To make matters worse, the parents of London are beginning to unravel. The once-civilized culture has now thrown the rules of judicial practice out the window and the people have taken justice into their own hands. How far will the desperate parents of England go to protect their children from the fiend they have come to know as, the Jackal?
