The Armorel Lady Tigers improved to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play Friday night with a 48-41 win over Black Rock.

BLACK ROCK -- The Armorel Lady Tigers improved to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play Friday night with a 48-41 win over Black Rock.

The Lady Tigers led 13-6 after the first quarter and 20-15 at halftime. They outscored the host team, 11-7, in the third to take a 31-22 advantage into the final period.

Katelyn Brown led Armorel with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Melanique Middlebrook added 13 points; Madison Carr, eight points, two assists and seven boards; Denaissa Middlebrook, six points, seven rebounds; Alexis Betts, five points, four rebounds and three assists; and Desiree Martinez, two points.

Armorel next travels to Weiner, Friday, for junior girls, senior girls and senior boys action that tips at 5:30 p.m.
