Mary Frances Sparks

Mary Frances Sparks, 74, of Jonesboro, widow of Ermon Barrett Sparks, died Thursday Dec. 30, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was the daughter of the late William Benton Fielder and Mary Lucille White Fielder. Mrs. Sparks was a lifelong Jonesboro resident and a 1953 graduate of Jonesboro High School.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers.

Survivors include a son, William "Sam" Dean of Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Mary K. Caldwell, Lesa Love, Julie Kelly and Carrie Mathis, all of Jonesboro; a brother, Donald Fielder of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were private and arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Service.
