Blytheville police are investigating the 12th homicide of the year in the city after George Grant, 64, of 2301 Carolyn Street, was found dead in his front yard Thursday night.
A person called the police department shortly after 8 p.m., saying Grant appeared to be laying in the yard.
Upon arrival, officers found Grant dead near the sidewalk in front of his apartment.
No details were being released, other than that the cause of death is a possible gunshot wound. Grant's body has been sent to the Arkansas Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy and analysis of evidence.
