Billy Guy Bryant
Billy Guy Bryant, 67, of Little Rock died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010. Born in Jonesboro on Oct. 2, 1943, to Guy and Lessie Ott Bryant, he was a retired state trooper with the Arkansas State Police. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #558 of Monette and the Arkansas State Police Retirees Association. He was a loving brother, dad, granddaddy and uncle. He will be truly missed.
He is survived by his son, Billy Bob Bryant (LaNette) of Mabelvale; daughter, Peggy Sue Lockhart (Tommy) of Bryant; twin brother, Bobby Bryant (Brenda) of Griffithville; grandson, William Guy Bryant; granddaughter, Mary Beth Bryant; nieces, Bobette Leggett and Kristy Lamb (Andy); three great-nieces, Elizabeth, Lauren and Andrea and a great-nephew, Steven.
Billy loved flying and during his tenure as a state trooper flew many dignitaries across the state. He loved classic cars, and music was a great part of his life. He played the guitar and during the late 1950s was a member of The Thunderbirds which cut its own record and had recent success in the U.K.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct.(NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Winfred Bridges. Burial was at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation was Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
