Grace Louise Jones
Mrs. Grace Louise Jones, 84, of Osceola, Ark., died on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Ms. Jones was born on April 23, 1926, in Pocahontas, Ark., to the late Jessie and Vedis Thelma Manis. Ms. Jones was a former resident of the Half Moon, Arkansas area and Monette, Ark. She was retired from Borg-Warner in Blytheville, Ark., and was a cook in several café's in Blytheville. Sheloved her garden and always canned enough every year for her family and anyone else who was in need.
Survivors include two sons, Earl R. and Winnie Jones of Half Moon, Ark., and John A. and Delores Jones of Leachville; one brother Sam and Joann Manis of Pocahontas, Ark.; one sister Nancy and Harold Friend of Lebanon, Ill.; four grandchildren, Tommy and Cece Jones of Blytheville, John Jones, Jr., of Memphis, Tenn., Eric and Kim Jones of Lonoke, Ark. and Lisa Abbott of Decatur, Ill.; nine great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Troy V. Jones; three brothers, Walter Manis, Jess Manis and Clarence Manis; one granddaughter; Kristy Louise Jones.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Ark. The family received visitors on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Faith Funeral Service.
