Cecil Anthony Shelton

Cecil Anthony Shelton, II, age 47, of Paragould, formerly of Manila, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at his home. Born at Lepanto he was the son of the late Cecil and Agnes Russell Shelton and was a 1982 graduate of Manila High School. He had lived much of his life in the Trumann area and was an auto mechanic. He had worked at Abernathy Motor Company, Wood Ford in Trumann and Howard Ford in West Memphis. He had been a Paragould resident for the past three years and enjoyed hunting and fishing and driving the #17 race car at area dirt tracks.

Survivors include two sons, Cecil "C.J." Shelton and Joshua Williams both of Trumann; one daughter, Sarah Shelton of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Thomas Shelton of Jonesboro; a twin sister, Susie Petty Dunlap of Manila; a special sister-in-law, Brenda Shelton of Jonesboro; and his ex-wife, Rene Shelton of Trumann.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Kenneth Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Caraway Cemetery.
