Joyce Potter
Joyce Potter, 63, of Blytheville, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Blytheville she was the daughter of the late Steven and Genittie Allison Fountain and had been a lifelong Blytheville resident. The love she had for her husband and children was endless and unconditional. She was very talented with landscape designing and interior decorating. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Before retirement, she had been employed in the business office of Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. She and her husband also owned and operated the Raceway Convenience Store on I-55 near Blytheville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Potter of the home; her son, Steven Leon Potter, and his wife Helen of Norfolk, Vir.; her daughter, Jini Kirk of Petti Jean; her brother, Bud Fountain of Osceola; and two grandchildren, Christine Potter and Steven Lee Potter.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Howard Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
