A 16-year old Blytheville resident will be tried as an adult on a charge of raping a 5-year old girl.
The teenager allegedly assaulted a 5-year old family member who lives in Wilson in July.
Officers were called to the South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola in regards to the incident. An interview and examination was also done at the Memphis Sexual Assault Center, where the results revealed evidence of the assault.
The teen was arrested last week and was arraigned on a charge of rape. His bond was set at $200,000.
