Mrs. Freeman and her husband Charlie had a daughter, Olive Joe, two grandchildren, Paul Taylor and Elaine Taylor Fowler, and three great-grandchildren. Great granddaughter Savannah Fowler was present at the birthday party and stayed close by Mrs. Freeman's side.
Former students and friends of Mrs. Freeman brought cards and gifts throughout the afternoon, as they took turns visiting with her.
Special music was provided by Wesley Davis and members of the Yarbrough Baptist Church. Cake, ice cream and punch were served to the many guests in attendance.
"Having birthdays are really fun," Mrs. Freeman said. "Especially at my age. This has been a wonderful day."
