Waymon W. Brooks
Waymon W. Brooks, 81, of Mountain Home, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1929, in Hancock, to Dick and Lovis Brooks. He married Lois Jean Davis Brooks in West Memphis.
He was an Elder in the Community of Christ in Mountain Home. In his youth he enjoyed playing American Legion Baseball, fishing and bowling. He retired from KFC in 1991 after 25 years and managed Brooks Medical Supplies in Mountain Home since 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Jean Brooks of Mountain Home; three daughters, Susan (Danny) Emison of Jonesboro, Terry (John) Howard of Walnut Ridge and Pam Davis of Alpharetta, Ga.; a sister, Mary Jane Johnson of Jonesboro; two brothers, Joe Ed (Ann) Brooks and Jerry (Helen) Brooks, both of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and two twin great-granddaughters.
A celebration of life service, conducted by Ministers Terry Williams and Betty J. Morris, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Community of Christ.
