Norma Jean Veach
Norma Jean Veach, 75, of Manila, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Aven and Ellen Poe Hodges and had lived most of her life in the Manila area. Mrs. Veach was a member of Manila First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Clifford Veach of Manila; a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Debbie Veach of Maumelle; a daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Dennis Seyler of Jonesboro; a brother, Darryl Hodges of Leachville; and a sister, Esther Barker of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Manila with the Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
The family received visitors Friday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as active pallbearers were Mrs. Veach's grandsons, Steven Veach, Michael Veach, Reid Veach, Kris Seyler, Kenneth Seyler and Klayton Seyler.
Nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
