According to Manila Chief of Police Jackie Hill, Sgt. Delbert Carter attempted to make a traffic stop when the driver, Gabriel Wilson, fled the vehicle on foot. Wilson was caught by Chief Hill about one block from where the vehicle was stopped.

Following an investigation, consent was given to search Wilson's residence on Haywood Street where officers located what they suspected to be remnants of a shake and bake meth lab.

Hill said members of the Mississippi County Drug Task Force were contacted to assist in a more thorough search of the residence and sheds located on the property. Additional meth lab paraphernalia was found.

In addition to Wilson, Danny Joe Summerville was also arrested.

Wilson was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license, fleeing, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of felony child endangerment.

Summerville was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and endangerment of the welfare of minor two counts.

They appeared in court on Monday where Bond was set at $50,000 each.

Chief Hill said while the undercover officers were waiting at the residence for the clean-up team to arrive from Little Rock, Keith McMinn, Jr. (11-13-72) approached the undercover officers looking for Wilson. He stated he had Xanax to trade for marijuana and said he also had Soma to trade as well. After the undercover officers agreed on the trade, McMinn, Jr. was arrested. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

McMinn appeared in court Monday where bond was set at $70,000. The defendant had a previous felony criminal history and was currently on parole.
