Riverside improved to 4-1 on the season with a pair of non-conference wins in senior girls basketball action last week.

The Lady Rebels began the week with a 53-38 victory over the Lady Bearcats Monday night at Brookland before taking a 56-43 win Friday night at Armorel.

Riverside used a balanced scoring attack in their win over Brookland. Meagan Goza led Riverside with 12 points while Becca Frayer and Kyley Campbell added 11 and 10 points respectively. Freshman Laurenn Weaver and senior Michelle Cobb pitched in nine points apiece while Ashley Calvert added two. The Lady Rebels drilled seven three pointers on the night.

Goza poured in a game high 27 points and finished off her double-double on the night with 13 rebounds in Riverside's win over Armorel.

In junior high action, Riverside defeated Brookland 38-26 before rolling over Armorel 40-25.

Kenzley Wilson poured in 14 points while Emilee Manues added eight to lead Riverside over Brookland. Lindsey Bennett scored six, Anna Brickell and Jordan Miller tallied four points apiece while Emily Jordan added two. Riverside connected on 11-13 free throws and nailed three treys on the night.

Manues and Wilson scored 16 and 10 points respectively in Riverside's victory over Armorel. The Junior Lady Rebels improved to 5-2 on the season.
